Distributed audio has changed - and it's due to our entertainment behavior change. A lot of us have ditched DSTv and picked up on Netflix. This will be more emphasized with DSTv's new Streama media player - we're entering a new generation of content on demand.
Historically distributed audio systems sat in an equipment cupboard or rack - we had a couple decoders, a Bluray player, CD player, Apple TV perhaps - and all of these sources were fed into an analogue distributed audio system, ready for deployment in any room. The problem with these systems is, when we add a smart TV or a media player to the TV, the system cannot return audio to the distributed audio system. Well it could, but not without expensive hdmi extenders that support ARC.
So the future of distributed audio will see TV Installation Amplifiers featured behind TV's and fed straight to discreet speakers in each room. The really great distributed audio systems like Nuvo - allow smaller multiroom amplifers to still feed the living areas, and then smaller amplifiers to feature behind TV's. The great thing about Nuvo - is the sources are available anywhere. So if your bedroom TV is connected to a smaller Nuvo player amplifer, that source then becomes available on the rack mounted amplifiers. And vice versa.
Whilst there is no denying that distributed audio is the technology most used in any of our smart homes - it is also one of the most expensive to deploy. Often connected to smart systems, hundreds of meters of cabling, smart system installers, expensive multi-room amplifiers and rack casings. This will now all change with installation amplifiers that you can install yourself behind the TV, on a shelf or in a cupboard. Wire a couple of speaker cables to in-ceiling speakers, wall speakers or any speaker of interest. You could even add a powered subwoofer to the zone wired to the line out jack. Open the app - and begin the basic configuration that leads you step by step.
You can easily deploy the system yourself, or if you have a smart system it will integrate to systems such as Control4 or Crestron.
TV speakers are getting smaller - and whilst soundbars are getting more advanced by the day - sometimes they fall short of the sound you are looking for or don't fit in with the layout of your room. Enter TV Installation Amplifiers - bring home theatre sound to your bedroom!

Nuvo P100 Wireless Zone Amplifier
At 70W - this is the perfect entry level amplifier for behind your TV. Wired or wirelessly link this to your Nuvo system - and build your dream distributed audio system. Basic jack input that will plug into your TV headphone output audio jack. Whatever streaming service you select on your TV will be amplified to two stereo speakers.
Nuvo P200 Wireless Zone Amplifier
Some more vooma at 150W - for those rooms that need big sound. This installation amplifier could even power some floor standing speakers. As per the P100 this will connect to your TV via an audio jack to jack cable.
Nuvo P3100 MultiRoom Audio Amplifier
Powering 3 zones independently at 40W per zone - this multi room amplifier is perfect for living areas looking for some background music via some in-ceiling speakers. The sources plugged into the P3100 will be available independently in any of the 3 zones, as well as on the P100 or P200 amplifiers. Use the free Nuvo app to stream music via the internet streams, or from your networked music collection. Access this music in any of the rooms powered by the P100 or P200 installation amplifiers.
Nuvo P3500
Some great power at 100W per zone, this will get the party started. The sources plugged into the P3500 will be available independently in any of the 3 zones, as well as on the P100 or P200 amplifiers. Use the free Nuvo app to stream music via the internet streams, or from your networked music collection. Access this music in any of the rooms powered by the P100 or P200 installation amplifiers.
Nuvo P4300
The better of the 3 choices as it allows digital audio in via toslink mini jack. Slightly more power at 110W and well priced. Includes all of the features of the above multi-room amplifers with the addition of digital inputs.
