Delock 64055 — USB 2.0 Type-A to RS-422/RS-485 DB9 serial adapter with ESD protection and up to 600W surge voltage protection, for connecting industrial serial devices to a standard USB port.

RS-422 and RS-485 are balanced serial protocols widely used in industrial automation, building management, and AV installation (RS-485 is the physical layer for DMX512 lighting and many PA systems). The 64055 bridges these protocols to a USB 2.0 port without requiring a dedicated serial port on the host computer. ESD protection safeguards both the adapter and externally connected equipment against electrostatic discharge and voltage transients up to 600W.
