The Pure Link PLK-DMX1 is a 1.5-metre DMX512 cable for connecting DMX-controlled lighting fixtures, dimmers, LED drivers, and moving heads to lighting controllers, consoles, or distribution nodes. The cable uses 110-ohm impedance wire as required by the DMX512 standard - DMX cable is NOT interchangeable with standard XLR microphone cable (which uses 75-ohm impedance), and using mic cable for DMX can cause signal degradation and unreliable fixture control, particularly on longer runs. The PLK-DMX1 is the short patch length suited to connecting fixtures at the same position or linking between two nearby devices in a daisy-chain. Fitted with male and female XLR connectors compatible with standard DMX512 equipment. Suited to lighting technicians, entertainment production companies, theatre technicians, and event hire operators.
