Product Overview

The QED Reference XLR40 builds on the acclaimed Audio 40 range, now available as a balanced XLR cable. Designed primarily for low capacitance, this cable ensures a high-fidelity audio experience by minimising timing errors and interference.

QED’s unique Tri-Conductor technology uses a third silver-plated 99.999% OFC conductor twisted alongside the signal pair to carry ground return currents, significantly reducing signal-to-ground capacitance and improving common mode rejection of mains hum.

The cable features a floating Zn/Mn impregnated ferrite jacket that effectively absorbs high-frequency noise outside the audio band, resulting in a cleaner and tighter signal.

Neutrik XX-14 Nickel Series gold-plated connectors provide professional-grade reliability and excellent shell ground continuity, optimised for QED’s electrostatic screen connected only at the source end.
