The HAT3300 series undergoes up to 300,000 hours of stringent validation testing on Synology systems to ensure reliable long-term operation in always-on NAS environments. Conventional magnetic recording (CMR) technology ensures stable, predictable write performance — important for NAS workloads involving frequent random writes. Firmware updates are delivered and applied directly through Synology DSM without removing drives or using external tools.
