Thorens turntables are renowned for state-of-the-art hi-fi technology that extracts even the smallest details from vinyl. The signals from pickup cartridges are very low and require amplification to a higher level. Many modern amplifiers lack a dedicated phono stage, so Thorens developed the TEP 302—a complete phono preamplifier with RIAA equalisation—to complement their turntables' outstanding playback performance.

The TEP 302 features a pure Class-A amplifier design with selected low-noise operational amplifiers. Its circuitry has been optimised through extensive listening sessions to ensure superior sound quality. It also includes a 15 Hz subsonic filter to protect woofers from damage caused by warped records, delivering enhanced detail and dynamics.

Both Microsoft® Windows® and Apple® Mac OS® include basic audio recording software. To fully utilise the MM-008ADC's high-resolution recording capabilities, we recommend software that supports 24-bit/96 kHz recording and can save lossless audio files such as FLAC or Apple® Lossless.
