Each unit is hand selected from production runs that meet higher test specifications to ensure quality and performance. Grado’s Optimized Transmission Line (OTL) technology provides an ideal transfer of signal from the vinyl surface to the cartridge’s generator. This design rejects unwanted resonances and lowers distortion, preserving the fundamental and harmonic frequencies of the music while minimising noise generated by the motor system. The OTL stylus and cantilever design enhances quietness, improves the height, width, and depth of the soundstage, and reveals more detail than previously obtainable. Hand assembled by a skilled team in Brooklyn, with some builders having over 25 years of experience, the Green3 benefits from technology trickled down from the highly acclaimed Lineage Series. This includes coil winding techniques using ultra high purity copper wire that achieve unison between the four coils in each cartridge, resulting in precise channel balance and accurate stereo imaging. Powered by a twin magnet system, the Green3 optimises stereo channel balance with all internal magnetic circuit parts held to extremely high tolerances. Grado’s patented Flux-Bridge™ design enables one of the lowest effective moving mass generating systems, creating excellent balance across the full frequency range. The de-stressed chassis, developed from experience with the Lineage Series, dissipates unwanted energy and resonant frequencies, allowing the desired signal to travel freely for a cleaner sound.
