Define the use case and audience area
Commercial sound begins with the use case and the audience area, not the loudspeaker catalogue. Speech reinforcement, live performance, DJ playback, background music and hybrid events each need different SPL, dispersion, monitoring and control strategies. Map where people stand or sit, where presenters or performers work, how noisy the room becomes and what sources must connect. A venue that hosts conferences by day and music by night may need presets, input panels and technician workflows that a simple background music system would never require.
