Each port is individually configurable, supporting VLAN assignments, traffic prioritisation, link aggregation, multicast management, and bandwidth control. Pakedge TruStream™ technology ensures efficient handling of bandwidth-intensive, low-latency multimedia content, supporting multicast and broadcast traffic without network congestion. The switch supports IGMP snooping and query to manage multicast traffic effectively. Its passive thermal design enables silent operation without fans, making it ideal for use in noise-sensitive environments. Security and Management The S8Mpd provides advanced security features including AAA/RADIUS integration, MAC filtering, and IP filtering to restrict device access. The switch can be managed locally via a web browser or remotely through the Pakedge BakPak Cloud Management System, offering full control and monitoring from anywhere.
