The Aten CS1822 is a KVMP (KVM + peripheral) switch that lets one USB keyboard, mouse, and 4K HDMI monitor control two computers simultaneously. Unlike a standard KVM, it includes a built-in USB 3.1 Gen1 USB hub running at up to 5Gbps — shared USB storage, webcams, and other peripherals are available to whichever computer has KVM focus. Supports video resolutions up to 4K DCI (4096x2160 @ 60Hz) via HDMI 2.0, making it suitable for content creation, CGI work, graphic design, and video post-production where colour accuracy and resolution matter. Video DynaSync stores the monitor's EDID in the switch for faster, more reliable switching and consistent display resolution across all connected computers. Audio Mixer Mode blends audio from any two connected computers into the audio output simultaneously — useful for monitoring system alerts and notifications even when KVM focus is on a different computer. Default EDID mode ensures smooth power-up and eliminates monitor compatibility issues. All cables included.
