The Aten VM5808HA routes any of eight HDMI video sources to any of eight HDMI displays with ATEN's FPGA-based Seamless Switch technology delivering uninterrupted video streams during transitions. FrameSync synchronises scaler output frame rates to the input signal frame rates, eliminating screen tearing on video wall displays — a key differentiator over the standard VM5808H. Audio de-embedding extracts digital audio from any HDMI input and routes it to the stereo audio output, giving installations greater audio flexibility without a separate audio matrix. A dedicated local HDMI output allows real-time monitoring of multiple sources on a single screen at the matrix switch's physical location — useful for operators managing a control room or broadcast suite. The VM5808HA integrates with the ATEN Control System, enabling it to be controlled alongside Ethernet-based ATEN video matrix switches and third-party devices (projectors, lighting, AV devices) from a centralised control platform.
