Product Description

The AudioQuest X2 cable is part of the Flat Series and utilises a Semi-Solid Concentric design. While not as transparent as AudioQuest’s Solid-Core conductors, the Semi-Solid wire offers significantly better resolution than conventional stranded bundle wire.

Semi-Solid Concentric Packed Conductors are employed in some of AudioQuest’s AC power and speaker cables as a cost-effective, flexible alternative to typical stranded conductors. These conductors use fewer, larger strands that do not change position along the cable length, avoiding many distortion mechanisms common in stranded cables.

Long-Grain Copper (LGC) strands in the X2 cable provide smoother and clearer sound compared to regular Oxygen-Free High-Conductivity (OFHC) copper. LGC contains fewer oxides, impurities, and grain boundaries, resulting in superior performance.

Spread-Spectrum Technology (SST) further reduces distortion by combining conductors of different sizes, minimising the sonic signature typically associated with single-size conductors.
