The CAC-2163 connects Mini DP-equipped devices — such as Apple Macs, older MacBook Pros, and Thunderbolt 1/2 systems — to standard DisplayPort monitors and docking stations. The bi-directional design works in either direction; the latching Mini DP connector locks securely to prevent accidental disconnection. HBR2 bandwidth (21.6Gbps total) supports 4K UHD @ 60Hz and 3D video, with backwards compatibility for DisplayPort 1.1a devices.
