Sophisticated Engineering

The AV8805 features a highly rigid base chassis to eliminate vibration and microphonic effects. Its oversized toroidal transformer is mounted on a 5mm aluminium pedestal for stability, while copper plating on the main chassis improves grounding and signal-to-noise ratio. Seventeen single-board HDAM modules ensure exceptional channel separation and audio performance, all protected by a heavy three-piece top lid.

Advanced HDMI Connectivity

All eight HDMI inputs support the latest HDCP 2.2 standard and 4K Ultra HD 60Hz video with 4:4:4 colour sub-sampling. The AV8805 also supports HDR formats including Dolby Vision, HLG, BT.2020, 3D video, and 21:9 aspect ratio pass-through, ensuring compatibility with the latest 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray players and streaming devices.

Immersive Surround Sound Formats

Dolby Atmos: Experience true 3D sound with up to 7.1.6 or 9.1.4 speaker configurations, including overhead and elevation speakers for a fully immersive home theatre experience.

DTS:X: DTS:X places sound naturally in your listening space for lifelike, multi-dimensional audio, enhanced by DTS Neural:X upmixer for legacy content.

Auro-3D: Provides an enveloping surround sound experience with dedicated height and overhead channels. Auro-3D support will be enabled via a future firmware update at no extra cost.

Wireless Streaming and Multi-Room Audio

With built-in Bluetooth, dual-band Wi-Fi, and Apple AirPlay, the AV8805 offers robust wireless streaming even in congested environments. Integrated HEOS technology lets you stream music from popular services like Spotify, Tidal, Deezer, and TuneIn, or your local library, throughout your home using HEOS-compatible speakers and the free HEOS app.

Audyssey MultEQ XT32 Room Calibration

Equipped with the full Audyssey Platinum suite, the AV8805 uses the included microphone to measure and optimise speaker output at up to eight locations. The Audyssey MultEQ Editor app (available for iOS and Android) allows detailed tuning, including speaker detection, target curve adjustments, EQ frequency range, and midrange compensation to personalise your sound.

External Control and Integration

The AV8805 supports IR remote input/output, dual 12V trigger outputs, and an RS-232C serial port for seamless integration with home automation systems. It is Crestron Connected certified for easy compatibility with Crestron control equipment.
