The 1Xpression Carbon is the sixth generation of the classic Pro-Ject 1 turntable, first introduced in 1991. It features a new carbon tonearm with EVO technology and an innovative gimbal design for enhanced resonance damping. The belt drive system includes a low-noise AC motor with effective motor decoupling and an ultra-precision frequency DC-driven AC generator for ultimate speed stability. Its complex main platter construction, similar to higher-end Xtension models, uses advanced TPE sandwich technology for optimised resonance behaviour. The turntable’s MDF plinth is decoupled from structure-borne noise by special absorber feet, ensuring class-leading sound quality combined with timeless elegance in a high-gloss piano black finish.
