The Aten CS1844 is a dual display KVMP switch — it drives two HDMI monitors simultaneously while sharing a USB keyboard and mouse across four computers. All four computers are available from one consolidated workstation setup, with 4K DCI (4096x2160 @ 60Hz) video quality on both displays via HDMI 2.0. Video DynaSync stores each monitor's EDID in the switch to optimise display resolution, accelerate port switching, and prevent windows from collapsing to the primary monitor when switching computers — ideal for extended desktop workflows in graphic design, video post-production, and CGI work. The built-in USB 3.1 Gen1 hub (5Gbps) provides 2 shared USB ports for peripherals such as storage drives and webcams. Keyboard/mouse, USB peripheral, and audio focus can each be switched independently — allowing audio from one computer while working on another. Supports console keyboard and mouse emulation for smooth switching, HD audio, HDCP, and multilingual keyboard mapping (English, French, Japanese, German). Port selection via pushbuttons, hotkeys, mouse, remote port selector, and RS-232.
