All switches, knobs, and controls are weighted, anodised aluminium for excellent feel and tactile response. Analog switches operate through relays to ensure the cleanest signal while maintaining a vintage aesthetic. At its core is the high-resolution ES9018K2M ESS Sabre32 Reference DAC capable of 192kHz/24-bit sample rates. Featuring ESS 32-bit HyperStream® DAC architecture and Time Domain Jitter Eliminator, it delivers clear sound with minimal distortion. This amplifier is perfect for processing any digital source, whether driving headphones or RCA line-out. The asynchronous USB interface utilises the XMOS USB audio receiver platform, allowing the amplifier to lock the audio stream to its internal clock for ultra-clean playback. It supports ASIO and connects directly to iOS (with Lightning™ to USB Camera Adapter, sold separately) and Android devices (5.0 Lollipop and newer) for lossless audio, bypassing device DACs. It is natively supported on macOS and Windows 10. Equipped with dual Class-AB TI TPA6120A2 amplifiers, the Heritage Headphone Amplifier minimises crosstalk and maximises output with a superior signal-to-noise ratio. Balanced output is available via XLR-4 connectors (cable not included), and a Hi-Z gain switch provides a +10 dB boost to drive demanding headphones.
